Hanashigaki does not send your speech or the text you enter to an external server for speech recognition or cleanup.

Processed only on your Mac

Audio recording, speech recognition, cleanup using Apple Intelligence on-device models, and reading text around the insertion point all happen on your Mac. Recorded audio is not saved after transcription.

Stored on your Mac

Dictation history, your dictionary and settings, and the trial start date are stored on this Mac and are not sent elsewhere. You can turn history off or delete it at any time. Your purchase key is stored in Keychain and the app’s settings file, and is sent to Gumroad only as described below.

When Hanashigaki connects

When you register a purchase key, and during occasional verification, Hanashigaki sends the key to Gumroad, Inc., which handles sales. Your speech and entered text are not sent.

Once a day, Hanashigaki checks yamag.app for a new version. You can turn this off under “Automatically check for updates.” The check sends only the app name and version, plus information normally present in network communication such as an IP address. It does not send speech, entered text, or your purchase key. Before installing an update from yamag.app, the app verifies the developer signature.

Analytics and advertising

Hanashigaki does not collect information for usage analytics or advertising.
